A melting pot of cuisines, culture and food connoisseurs, the City of Logan is primed for a culinary adventure (and it's only 30 mins from Brissy and a cool 40 from the Gold Coast). But don't just take our word for it—we've rounded up the best global bites to hunt down next time you find yourself in Logan.
Global Food Markets
Corner Station Rd &, Croydon Rd, Woodridge
Head to the Global Food Markets next time you're craving the feeling of stumbling across epic street eats on a Southeast Asian adventure (although you'll find flavours from all over the world here). Open every Sunday, it’s part farmers market, part street-food haven, with stalls serving up fresh fruit and veggies, steaming hot noodle bowls and freshly made mango sticky rice.
Like any great market, the stalls rotate—so there's always something new to find. The best plan of attack? Do a lap to stock up on the weekly essentials and checking out the ready-to-eat goodies. Then swing back around and reward yourself with your fave finds. Pro tip: grab a sweet treat to snack on as you explore.
Thai Orchid
3374 Pacific Hwy, Springwood
The first Thai restaurant to open in Brisbane, Thai Orchid has been serving Springwood since the late ‘80s—so they know their stuff.
Tuck into fan-favourite house specials like the crispy basil prawns, crab curry and crispy pork belly. Just be sure to leave room for the Thai egg custard—you’ll regret watching it land on someone else’s table.
Don't skip the cocktails—try the “twisted classics” like the Orchid Temptation with vodka, gin, butterfly pea syrup, pineapple and lime, or the Lychee Kiss, a sweet mix of vodka, lychee, apple and lemon.
Manok Park
Shop 18/11-21 Kingston Rd, Underwood
A family-owned favourite serving up top-tier Korean flavours, Manok Park is a non-negotiable for spice-lovers and seafood fiends (with plenty of beef, pork, chicken and veg options, too). Manok Park’s specialty is traditionally prepared raw crab, which you can order either in a simple soy sauce (Ganjang gejeng) or with a spicy marinade (Yangnyeom-gejang).
Korean chef Sean Hwang opened the restaurant in 2019 with his two sisters, Victoria and June, and the spot is named after their mother, in a nod to her influence on Hwang’s cooking. It’s a true family-owned spot, but with the careful curation you’d expect from a long-running fine diner.
Kickin Inn
38/74 Wembley Rd, Logan Central
Speaking of spice, Kickin Inn is bringing it by the bucketful. It’s a Kajun seafood boil joint serving bold and spicy flavours, often eaten straight off the table. Armed with gloves, dig in hands-first to seafood ordered by the kilo. Think mixed prawns, blue swimmer crab and half bay bugs—all seasoned to perfection with a signature sauce of your choice (options include Kajun, garlic butter and Kickin’ Sha-Bang), and the level of heat you reckon you can handle.
If you don’t feel like forgoing the bowl, opt for plated (and often fried) faves like boneless chicken wings, salt and pepper squid and tempura calamari and chips.
Shinbashi Yakiniku
Unit 3/2900 Logan Rd, Underwood
There are plenty of great Japanese spots around, but far fewer that specialise in Japanese barbecue. Enter: Shinbashi Yakiniku. Serving up a mix of meat, seafood and veggies, it’s a dream dining spot for anyone who loves their dinner grilled to order. And if you can’t decide, pop in for lunch on the weekend and go all in on the all-you-can-eat buffet feast.
Top it all off with an icy tap beer or keep it classic with sake—just clear your schedule, because you won’t have room for anything else.
Sooo Sweet
6/7 254 Kingston Rd, Slacks Creek
The name says it all for this Lebanese and Mediterranean dessert spot. Dishing up a delicious array of pastries and sweet treats, their baklava is the star of the show. Go for a traditional pistachio or walnut filling, or venture for something new with their Biscoff Baklava.
Baklava not your thing? (Wild, but we forgive you.) Don’t worry, Sooo Sweet also stocks all the classics like almond shortbread, nougat and Namoura (a Lebanese coconut cake).
Go Jip
Shop 36, Level/1 Kingston Rd, Underwood
It’s all about the meat at Korean Grill buffet Go Jip. Another all-you-can-eat spot, this one lets you fill your plate with meat to grill at your table, along with ready-to-devour dishes like hot pot and noodles. They also dish up premium sushi, but only at dinner and on weekends, so plan your booking accordingly.
The buffet doesn’t stop at mains, with Go Jip’s serve-yourself desserts. Think ice cream, mochi, bingsu (a traditional milk-based shaved ice dessert) and a choc fountain. One to arrive hungry for.
