The Gold Coast Is Getting Its First-Ever Westin Hotel—Complete With An Infinity Pool And Ocean-View

The Gold Coast's luxury hotel scene is about to welcome a major new name, with Westin Hotels & Resorts officially making its debut in the beachside city.

Developed by Australian-based M Property under a franchise agreement with Marriott International and managed by La Vie Hotels & Resorts, The Westin Gold Coast is expected to open in late 2029. The project will mark the wellness-focused brand's first hotel on the Gold Coast, adding another premium accommodation option to one of Australia's most popular holiday destinations.

The new-build hotel will occupy levels six to 25 of a mixed-use development in the heart of Surfers Paradise, featuring 138 keys made up of 115 guest rooms and 23 suites with views across the Pacific Ocean or the Gold Coast hinterland.

Known for its focus on wellbeing, Westin hotels are built around the brand's Eat Well, Sleep Well and Move Well philosophy, with wellness facilities and experiences designed to help guests maintain healthy routines while travelling.

Designed to cater to both leisure and business travellers, the hotel will feature a signature restaurant and bar, conference and meeting facilities, an infinity pool and pool bar, the brand's WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio and Heavenly Spa by Westin. Guests will also have dedicated parking and convenient access to nearby transport links and the city's beaches, shopping and dining precincts.

The arrival of Westin also continues Marriott International's expansion across the Gold Coast, where it currently operates two resorts and has several more properties in development.

The Westin Gold Coast is expected to welcome its first guests in late 2029.
