Discover This Beachfront Family Shopping Destination With The World’s Largest Timezone

Dodgem cars at Timezone

Trying to find a family activity that will keep everyone entertained can sometimes feel more complicated than organising a mission to a deserted island. But fear not, because Paradise Centre on the Gold Coast has just become the go-to destination for kids (and adults) of all ages. Between the world’s biggest Timezone, ten-pin bowling, VR games, axe throwing, plus plenty of restaurants, and of course, a tonne of shops, you’re sure to find something that will keep the whole crew entertained.

If the words ‘world’s largest Timezone’ piques your interest, then you need to visit this Paradise Centre, stat. Here, there are over 300 classic and new arcade games to choose from, as well as a full-sized laser tag arena, bowling, bumper cars, and glow-in-the-dark mini-golf for you and your crew to explore. Timezone is also very conveniently open until midnight, seven days a week, so there’s no limit to how many bragging rights you can earn in a night (or two).

You can also check out Zone Bowling next door if you’re looking to take that competitive spirit a little further at its 12-lane site. There’s also MANIAX Axe Throwing for anyone over 13, which makes for a great way to unleash some pent-up energy or get some zombie apocalypse practice in. Also worth a visit is Freak VR, a virtual reality experience that offers a range of games and challenges that will put your team to the test, all within the virtual world.

If shopping is more your thing (or if kids don’t want you cramping their style), then step through to the shopping section of Paradise Centre, where you’ll find all the retail therapy you need. There are over 90 stores to browse through, including faves such as Vans, Surf Dive N’ Ski, Rip Curl, Baku Swimwear, Stateside Sports, Fast Times Skateboarding, and Platypus. And because we all know that shopping is an exhausting sport, there are plenty of cafes along the way where you can refuel for the next round of browsing. One of the best parts about Paradise Centre is that it’s open late 365 days a year, so there’s always time to explore for a little longer.

If you’re still at Paradise Centre when dinner hits (which, speaking from experience, is quite likely) take your pick of the eight new restaurants and dining options that each come with a view of the stunning Surfers Paradise Beach. Try out the burgers at Queensland's first-ever Wahlburgers or indulge in some delicious Thai food at Nahm Talay Thai. There are also options like TGI Fridays, Gelato Messina, Enzo's Cucina, La Playa, and Hero Sushi to choose from.

So the next time you’re trying to organise some family fun, add Paradise Centre to the must-visit list. Just don’t blame us when the kids beg you not to take them home.
