GoBoat Gold Coast is inviting you to be your own captain when you hire one of their awesome picnic boats.
Originally established in Denmark in 2014 on the Copenhagen Harbour, GoBoat Australia CEO Nick Tyrell saw the need for something like this on the Coast. The Gold Coast was GoBoat’s first Queensland location last year, after a successful launch in Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin and Melbourne’s Yarra River, where more than 100,000 people have jumped aboard for a unique way to explore these cities.
“GoBoat is all about making the water accessible to everyone, and really enjoying the boating experience through good food, good company and, of course, great Gold Coast weather. The combination of the silent electric motor with zero pollution and the central wooden picnic table really makes the GoBoat experience a uniquely social one,” Mr Tyrrell explained.
Made from recycled PET bottles, these eco-friendly boats run on electric engines which are silent and emit no pollution. With no license or experience required to drive, each GoBoat fits eight people around a large picnic table and comes complete with a sunshade bimini for extra comfort. BYO picnic, tipple of choice and jump aboard at Sanctuary Cove, where you’ll cruise the Coomera River and Hope Island canals. One ($99), two ($179) and leisurely three-hour ($239) packages are currently available, with kids and dogs also welcome, and plenty of safety equipment available on board.
GoBoat Gold Coast is now available for your next weekend adventure or mini celebration and we’re calling it now—captain’s hats will be essential.
