Post Malone Is Heading Regional For Strummingbird Festival 2026

Yep, you read that right: Grammy-nominated global superstar Post Malone is coming back to Australia this year, headlining Strummingbird Festival 2026. It’s our largest touring country music event, so it’s no wonder the lineup he’s bringing with him is hard to ignore.

Strummingbird is ramping things up for its second year of bootscooting, and will be rolling into three regional locations this October: Victoria Park in Ballarat, Newcastle Foreshore, and Kawana Sports Precinct on the Sunshine Coast. All three spots are located just a few hours outside of major cities, making this a no-brainer for your next festival road trip. And did we mention there’ll be line dancing?

Who’s On The Strummingbird Lineup?

By now, we all know that Post Malone’s country creds are well-established. His Nashville record F-1 Trillion garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album, and united Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, and Lainey Wilson. Now, three years on from his sold-out run at Spilt Milk, he’s headed back to Aussie shores—only this time, he has a new country twang.

He’ll be joined by multi-platinum rising star Bailey Zimmerman, who you might recognise from his viral cover of Miley Cyrus’ The Climb at Stagecoach, plus North Carolina’s Cooper Alan, LA country star Stella Lefty, and Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER songwriter, Cam.

When it comes to homegrown talent, it’s just as impressive. Sydney’s Sons of the East are returning (fresh off 750 million streams, no less), back-to-back CMAA Female Artist of the Year Max Jackson is hitting the stage, and Central Queensland’s cattle-station sensation Mack Geiger joins the bill. They’ll be followed by the likes of Brad Cox, Briana Dinsdale, Sara Berki, and country DJ Willie Pake.

Line dancing with Strummingbird legend Maddison Glover is set to return across all three stops, so you should absolutely pack your best boots. Each leg of the festival is also passing the mic to a local artist: Lewis Love for Ballarat, Gamilaraay artist Loren Ryan for Newcastle, and Sammy White on the Sunshine Coast.

Getting There

As an all-ages event, Strummingbird’s team has made access easy. There’ll be special festival buses available from Melbourne to Ballarat, and camping is on offer at both Ballarat and the Sunshine Coast if you're after the full festival experience. Camping and bus tickets will go on sale from midday on 20 May. And if you're planning on making your own way there, round up a crew to carpool and split the bill—that's more cash for snacks and sips on-site.

Tickets

General admission tickets for all locations are on sale now. And if Post Malone’s last Australian run is anything to go by, these won’t last long. Grab your tickets for Strummingbird 2026 here.
