The Gold Coast has welcomed a shining jewel of luxury, with the much-anticipated opening of Australia’s newest luxury resort hotel, The Langham. After formally welcoming its first guests in June 2022, the hotel has recently unveiled its long-awaited plethora of exquisite dining, bar and wellness experiences. We promise you it’s like nothing you’ve seen before.

The Langham towers high like a shining spire as the tallest of the three eye-catching Jewel Towers in Surfers Paradise. Boasting 17 different types of elegant rooms and suites, direct beachfront access, panoramic ocean views and stunning Hinterland views, The Langham, Gold Coast and Jewel Residences offer an unprecedented level of five-star accommodation on the Gold Coast. The grand 339-room luxury destination is also the first hotel with direct beachfront access to be built on the Gold Coast in more than 30 years.

Now, let us take you inside this spectacular property which is paving the way for a new height of luxury accommodation on the Gold Coast—indeed, in Australia.

The Langham emulates timeless elegance and opulence—everything from the sophisticated coastal palette, to The Langham’s signature Ginger Flower fragrance which wafts throughout the hotel, to the artwork by internationally-renowned Australian artist Camie Lyons set the tone for what is undoubtedly the most luxurious hotel stay you’ll experience on the Gold Coast. Each of the rooms is uniquely designed, boasting either an ocean or Hinterland view and a luxe coastal-chic fit-out.

The Langham is home to grandeur facilities including one of the hotel’s star attractions; a huge lagoon-style beachfront pool with a swim-up pool bar and spa. Edged by towering palm trees and located mere metres from the iconic Gold Coast beachfront, you can order a cocktail delivered to your sun lounge and soak up the expansive views. If you’re looking to get your sweat on, venture up to Level Two where a twenty-metre pool and state-of-the-art health club boast stunning ocean views.

If this wasn’t enough already, health and wellness lovers are spoiled at Chuan Spa, a 5,300-square-foot holistic wellness retreat set with indoor and outdoor pools, that embraces the healing philosophies of traditional Chinese medicine through indulgent, holistic wellness treatments. Chuan Spa offers a range of treatments including facials, massages, scrubs and wraps, hand and foot therapies, and beauty treatments, with each customised to nurture, balance and restore, guided by the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Step inside and you'll be welcomed by the subtle scent of Chuan signature elements oils amongst the spa’s stunning fit-out of neutral, calming hues and bespoke contemporary design with marble accents, comprising eight treatment rooms including two couple rooms.

The Langham boasts a world-class lineup of six dining and bar venues including Palm Court, which hosts the trademark Langham Afternoon Tea; T’ang Court, The Langham’s signature Michelin-starred destination for fine Cantonese dining; Coral Moon, a sky-high outdoor terrace bar with sweeping ocean views; Akoya, a beachfront all-day restaurant specialising in meat, fish and poultry; Lobby Bar, the hotel’s stylish central spot for a drink with an extensive selection of Australia’s finest spirits; and 26 & Sunny, a lively hotspot for a casual beachside coffee and bites.

If you can’t visit all of The Langham’s gastronomic offerings, we highly recommend you book in at T’ang Court. The Michelin-starred restaurant delivers a unique and authentic Cantonese fine-dining experience that embraces the essence of Southern Chinese dining. The exquisite menu showcases an array of traditional culinary masterpieces, including duck pancakes with hoisin sauce, sauteed pearl meat with ginger and shallots, and spicy black tiger prawn with roasted garlic. The 80-seat restaurant seamlessly blends modern luxury and traditional authenticity, with an elegant fit-out that celebrates the vibrancy of the T'ang Dynasty.

General Manager of The Langham, Gold Coast, John O’Shea said the highly-anticipated final opening of all Langham experiences marked a true celebration for the hotel.

“Our teams have been hard at work for the past four months to perfect our range of bar, dining and wellness offerings, ensuring everything from menus and recipes through to the fit-outs and colourways reflect each venue’s individual personality that we know guests will feel the minute they walk through the door,” Mr O’Shea said.

“These new experiences are the final jewels in our crown and the cherry on top to The Langham, Gold Coast truly becoming Australia’s best luxury destination.”

The Langham, Gold Coast is the perfect marriage of The Langham’s global expertise in luxury hospitality with an iconic beachfront location, creating an unmatched hotel experience.
