Access Four Thrilling Theme Parks For Only $179 With This Annual Locals Pass

By Maddie Wallman

Summer may have come to an end, but not on the Gold Coast. For locals, there’s unlimited fun, thrills and adventures to be had this Easter right on our doorstep—in Australia’s unofficial theme park capital. Luckily, Village Roadshow Theme Parks just dropped an all-new pass for locals, so you can lock in year-round fun for only $179.

The Village Roadshow Locals One Pass Lite will get you 12-months of unlimited entry* to Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Wet'n'Wild and Paradise Country, with over 120 rides, slides, shows and attractions. And at just $179, you’ll be saving 40 bucks compared to the all-inclusive Village Roadshow Locals One Pass. That's $40 you can spend on sweet merch and snacks once you're in the park.

Here’s a snapshot of each of the four theme parks to get you geared up for the Gold Coast’s endless summer.

Chase Thrills At Warner Bros. Movie World

People on rollercoaster.

Step into the silver screen and feel the excitement at Warner Bros. Movie World. Packed with white-knuckle rides, world-class performances and all your favourite film characters, Warner Bros. Movie World is a must-visit for movie buffs and adrenaline junkies alike. Bringing along the kids? Check out the Kids’ WB! Fun Zone, home to your favourite Looney Tunes characters and attractions.

Join Catwoman, Batman, Harley Quinn, The Joker and more as you wander around the action packed-streets of this movie mecca before testing your bravery on the gravity-defying rides. Only at Warner Bros. Movie World will you find the tallest, longest, fastest and, in this writer's humble opinion, the scariest roller coaster in the southern hemisphere, the  DC Rivals HyperCoaster

There’s even more thrills planned for the very near future at Warner Bros. Movie World, too. Soon you'll be able to take on the exhilarating ride-within-a-ride experience with The Flash: Speed Force—a twisting, spinning, 30-metre-high ride reaching speeds up to 70km/h where The Flash takes on his greatest villain, The Reverse-Flash.

Meet The Locals At Sea World

Dolphins leaping into air.

If you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with some curious aquatic cuties, this one’s for you. Sea World is home to all sorts of animals, including seals, dolphins, sea jellies and more. Plus, for kids and kids at heart, Nickelodeon characters like SpongeBob SquarePants can be found in park for meet and greets.

There’s also plenty of exciting rides for the daredevils. The short-but-sweet-and-speedy Jet Rescue is an Urban List fave, while the Storm Coaster surprises you at every twist and turn and is super refreshing on a hot day. Over in The New Atlantis precinct, swing through the sky on the Trident, spin in the colossal currents of the Vortex, or if you’re feeling particularly fearless, zip across the wooden terrain of the mighty Leviathan.

Make A Splash At Wet’n’Wild

Make a splash into the biggest and best water park in Oz. Wet’n’Wild is the Gold Coast’s aquatic paradise, combating Queensland’s humidity and keeping you cool all year long with its lazy rivers, twisting slides, roaring rapids and a giant wave pool. Strap yourself in for a soaking on one of the many adrenaline-pumping slides like the Tornado, Constrictor, Black Hole, Kamikaze and KABOOM!; or embrace the motion of the ocean and float in the ginormous wave pool.

Feeling a little chilly? Take a break from the adrenaline-pumping action and unwind in the heated Whirlpool Springs hot tubs. Or, if you want to avoid getting wet all together, park yourself up in a cabana with just the Easter holiday essentials (hot chips, frozen Coke, sunnies and sunscreen) and take it all in from dry land.

See Australian Wildlife At Paradise Country

Woman, child, koala and park attendee.

The clue here is in the name. Paradise Country is a little slice of, if you will believe, country paradise, hidden behind Warner Bros. Movie World, in a relaxing country setting. Perfect for the whole family, you’ll get a taste of what life is like on an authentic Australian farm.

There's a variety of live shows, interactive animal experiences, roaming Australian wildlife, cuddly farm animals and a Shaun The Sheep meet and greet, making it a big drawcard for families.
