Ally Chow
The Verdict
Ally Chow serves up incredible pan-Asian fare in Nobby Beach. Dishing up share-style plates, you’ll find a mix of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese flavours across the menu.
From Kingfish delicately piled over betel leaf and completed with mandarin, pomegranate and yuzushu dressing, to Saddletail Snapper sitting atop a bed of rice noodle, baby corn, shitake mushroom and ginger broth, it’s pretty much impossible to leave here disappointed.
Along with the tastes and the tipples, it’s the fit-out that really hits home this is not your average restaurant. Going against the Queensland trend of white and bright, the interior is almost moody, with dim lighting, blackened wood walls, a funky iron gate entryway and a graffiti-splashed laneway. You're going to love this joint!
