Joining the Gold Coast’s collection of impressive cafes with top-tier coffee comes Banksy Bar & Kitchen. Throw in a slick, industrial fit-out in the mix and you’ve got yourself a winner. And by winner, we mean a cafe you’ll want to come back to again, and again.

Nestled in Broadbeach, Banksy oozes sleek utilitarian vibes—high glass windows, steel accents and concrete seamlessly blend together, creating a pared back, Melbournesque interior. The indoor-outdoor cafe currently seats 40 patrons, but owners Paul and Alex have plans to expand to a larger capacity and serve cocktails in the evenings.

The cafe is Quest Coffee Roasters’ first food-centric location, so you already know the coffee is going to be top-notch. The health-conscious menu speaks to Quest’s mission of social and environmental sustainability—it stars local and sustainably grown ingredients, small Australian suppliers and environmentally-friendly packaging.

Rotating seasonal salads are a Banksy signature or you can peruse the breakfast menu which is divided up by ‘farm’, ‘grains’ and ‘toasties’. Any cafe which has a whole section dedicated to toasties is right up our alley. The sweet oats with caramelised fruit, maple syrup, coconut and basil cream is a winner or chow down on a loaded toastie—we recommend the garlic and miso mushroom with greens, swiss cheese, pickled cucumber and gochu mayo.

And the name, you ask? Banksy is named after Banksy the Vizsla, the dog of Quest Coffee Roasters' owners, Paul and Alex. Bringing so much joy into the lives of everyone he meets, it is only fitting that Banksy is the namesake of Quest Coffee Roasters' food first location.
