Eight Cafe

There's a new sandwich spot in town, and with the team from Scott's Luncheonette & Bar behind it, you know they mean business. Eight Cafe has taken up residence in the old Cafe Matisse site in Carrara, with a full from-scratch fitout and a menu to match.

They've brought along the classics you know and love from Scott's—the zingy reuben with house-cured corned beef and the home-made roasted beef philly cheese sit top of the current offering. The future, however, is looking a little more funky, with a fusion-leaning menu built on the sandwiches you'd find in the bigger smoke set to land in the coming months.

Think: a Korean fried chicken burger, a butter chicken sanga, and a tuna katsu number, to name a few. Safe to say, we're already counting down the days.

There's coffee, shakes, and a couple of smoothies to wash it all down. All that's left to do is perch up outside and enjoy the views over Carrara Stadium while you savour every last bite.
