The Verdict
Gelato Messina is the undisputed king of the dessert kingdom. Having served nightly hordes in Sydney for over a decade, they recently started spreading their magic across the country, opening their first Queensland store in Coolangatta. For ice cream enthusiasts it’s worth a trip south alone, to taste what it takes to be crowned crème-de-la-crème. All made in house with love, go weak at the knees for over 40 exotically indulgent flavours. Try their number one seller—salted caramel with white chocolate chip, or other crafty concoctions like pear and rhubarb, salted coconut and mango salsa or our favourite, apple pie. Oh, sweet baby Jesus!
