A touch of the Mediterranean has landed in Byron Bay with the opening of Gitana, a Spanish wine bar located in the lively Nourish Habitat precinct.
Classic Spanish wine bar meets coastal Byron Bay vibes at this vibrant joint with a cosy atmosphere, French curtains, bold artwork, and lively tunes. Perch up with your crew in the courtyard or grab a drink inside in the intimate bar.
On the menu you’ll find an impressive deli selection including seasonal escabeche, rillette baguettes, Ortiz fish tins, pickles and Spanish crisps. Order a platter and nibble your way through artisan cheese, cured meats, pickles, olives and breads—we can’t go past the rotating traditional Basque-style pintxos.
Mediterranean and local wines star on the drinks front, alongside Spanish-inspired aperitifs, cocktails and local beers. Keep an eye on Gitana’s socials for special weekly events including Paella Wednesdays, Happy Hour Thursdays, Latin Friday nights, a monthly block party on the last Friday of every month and much more.
