Queensland’s first-ever Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe has landed at Pacific Fair, bringing a full-on dose of kawaii magic to the Gold Coast. 

Following the successful Melbourne flagship store opening, this immersive cafe lets visitors of all ages step inside Sanrio’s world, where beloved characters, whimsical design and playful dining collide in one seriously Instagram-worthy experience.

Inside, expect three uniquely themed spaces—snap photos of the nostalgic interiors, shop the exclusive Hello Kitty and Friends merch or dig into cute-as-can-be Japanese-inspired patisserie treats. 

So what can you dig into? The menu is all about Japanese flavours with modern twists, like themed bento boxes, poke bowls, the iconic strawberry sandos and even high tea experiences. While we recommend perching up and taking your time, there is also the Hello Kitty Corner for takeaway coffees and freshly baked Japanese patisseries. 

There’s even a Cinnamoroll World—a fully immersive space where every detail, from ceiling art to custom tableware, has been meticulously designed to celebrate Sanrio’s iconic characters.

Once your camera roll (and stomach) is full, check out the retail store for limited-edition apparel, plushies, collectibles, and Gold Coast–inspired merch you won’t find anywhere else, with monthly product drops ensuring there’s always something new to discover.
