kōst eloquently describes itself as ‘a place where sensory meets the sea; where rustic meets refined’. The modern bar and grill boasts Australia’s first two-metre Mibrasa charcoal bar and grill and has amalgamated three previous tenancies on Oracle Boulevard in Broadbeach to create one sprawling venue and outdoor pavilion, encompassing a stunning 130-seat restaurant and 50 seats for cocktail-style dining. 

kōst seamlessly blends elevated bar and grill cuisine with playful cocktails, fine wine and live fuel cooking methods, to deliver a high-level sensory immersion experience. The exquisite menu stars charcoal-grilled and dry-aged dishes, including seafood towers, whole market fish, a roving caviar and champagne trolley and top-tier dry aged steaks.

Hospitality honcho, Dave Galvin and his team spent over three years planning this unique dining concept and their passion for delivering an unprecedented level of dining on the Gold Coast is apparent. 

“[kōst is] a design-led venue which connects guests to four key coastal elements. Air, Water, Fire, Earth. A place where bar meets grill….Think fire-kissed food, immersive drinks, killer cocktails, impressive wine list and impeccable service in a space we have created, led by the best in architectural design,” said Dave Galvin, owner of kōst.

The unique dining concept is brought to us from the skilful team behind Mozza Mozza, Crafty’s Sports Bar and Bird Royale, so the bar is already high. And boy, do they deliver. Heading up the kitchen at kōst is Executive Chef, Sebbie Kenyon who is something of a culinary genius, having worked in Paris, London, Moscow, Jakarta and Australia, in addition to opening four of his own restaurants.  

The spectacularly designed venue also houses a private dining room, a purpose-built dry age cool room that can be seen from Oracle Boulevard, an experiential cocktail programme, a magnificent 130+ bottle wine list and an extensive Champagne range by the flute, curated by a master sommelier.
