The Verdict
Boasting one of the most beautiful and spacious salons on the Coast, contemporary art gallery at the rear and a dedicated dude’s corner with a fulltime barber, you could say Maverick Hair & Art Space has got it all going on.
Upstairs off Coolangatta’s Griffith Street, we’re crushing on Maverick’s sundrenched industrial loft-style space, with timber floors, whitewashed brick walls, exposed beams and pendant lights; but it’s their cheerful and skilled staff who’ll really make you smile.
Don’t depart without appreciating the gallery space and boutique bookstore at the rear; a platform for local artists to display and sell their craft, rotating regularly. We’re calling it: Maverick Hair & Art Space is one of the best hairdressers on the Gold Coast and totally worth driving across town to hunt down.
