The Verdict

Occupying a vintage shopfront with a rich history and named after the owner’s father, Mervyn Roy’s cafe is family-owned and operated. Now, if the friendly team doesn’t win you over (and they will!), then the impressive assortment of edible goodness will. Glorious slices, toasties, classic hot brekkies, burgers or, their specialty, flaky homemade scones topped with jam and cream, are all within a towel throw of the beach down in the sleepy suburb of Bilinga.

Walls and shelves at this eclectic neighbourhood gem are adorned with vintage bric-a-brac and mix-and-matched retro furniture creating a super cute homely feel. Buzzing with a local vibe on sunny weekends, if you didn’t already have to wait patiently for a table, you will now.
