Tucked away in the heart of Mudgeeraba, Mudjira Village Eatery is more than just a cafe—it’s a local institution.

With over ten years of soul-fuelled service under its belt, this humble hideaway has earned its stripes as the go-to for anyone craving honest food, standout coffee, and a warm welcome that feels like a long-overdue hug.

Fresh off a stunning renovation, Mudjira has evolved while keeping its community-first spirit at the core. Whether you’re rolling in for a post–Parkrun refuel, catching up with friends in the leafy courtyard, or flying solo with a hot cuppa and a good book, this is one of those rare places where everyone feels like a regular.

The menu? Let’s just say it’s a love letter to flavour. Favourites like the Korean pork bowl—think crispy pork belly, coconut rice, a perfectly fried egg and a zingy ginger shallot sauce—keep regulars coming back, while the Maxmillian bircher with house-made coconut raspberry yoghurt is a brekkie bowl that deserves its own fan club. Add in favourites like the Mudjira breaky burger and you’re officially spoiled for choice.

Coffee here is serious business; smooth, rich, and made with care, but if you’re not a coffee drinker, fear not—their matcha, turmeric, and rooibos chai lattes are all worth a sip. Oh, and if you haven’t tried the Vietnamese coffee (condensed milk and coffee, need we say more?), you’re genuinely missing out.

But what really sets Mudjira apart is the atmosphere—lush greenery, relaxed outdoor seating, and a team that makes you feel like you’ve known them forever. Owner Kate Bennett says it best: “It feels surreal to have made it to ten years... leading this team of people is my favourite job I’ve ever had.”

A cafe that feels like home, where everything’s made with heart—Mudjira Village Eatery is one Gold Coast gem that you definitely shouldn’t miss.
