Like a breath of fresh air, No. 35 Cabarita has blown into the sleepy seaside haven of Cabarita and has certainly blown us away. This modern Italian restaurant brings coastal summer vibes and traditional Italian delicacies with a twist to northern New South Wales and we can’t get enough of it. 

Cabarita No. 35 epitomises what we love most about coastal Italian cuisine—refined yet stripped back quality cuisine which speaks for itself through the marriage of exquisite flavours. Curated by powerhouse hospitality duo, Rachel Duffy and head chef Daniel Medcalf—whose other forays include Icebergs in Sydney, The Dolphin in Surry Hills and The Slow in Bali—the menu is simplistic and showcases delectable Italian dishes, all made with the freshest local produce. Authenticity and creativity are key, and we think they’ve nailed both.

The extensive share-style menu is a true celebration of Italian cuisine but boasts intriguing twists which will delight your taste buds. Start with delicacies like the arancini with garden peas and smoked parmesan custard or the Byron Bay burrata with crunchy chilli oil. Dig into the larger plates like rigatoni with winter greens, buffalo mozzarella and macadamia or the lamb neck ragu with fusilli, broccoli leaf and pecorino, before you finish strong with their legendary tiramisu. At Cabarita No. 35, European drops take centre stage and their seriously impressive wine list and cocktail menu pairs perfectly with the sophisticated Italian fare.
