Outback Springs is Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s new rustic outback experience, starring a traditional outback Queensland farming station, close animal encounters and hands-on outback experiences such as gemstone panning and billy tea making.

The multi-million dollar precinct will quite literally transport visitors to the wild outback with the outback station recreation encompassing a working windmill, tractors, a firepit, bush tucker garden, free-range chickens, miniature goats and exhilarating outback species like death adders and native spiders.

“The opening of this precinct is the first stage of the most significant precinct investment to the Sanctuary in its 75 year history. Outback Springs is a rustic outback experience for all ages to enjoy,” said Travis Couch, General Manager of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

Operating daily from 9am to 3pm, this state-of-the-art attraction is designed for visitors of all ages with wheelchair and pram accessibility. Even better, entry is included with General Admission.

Outback Springs is just the start of the huge evolution of the Gold Coast’s iconic Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The outback precinct will be expanded in coming months with ‘The Homestead', a state-of-the-art dining and events space that will showcase the flavours of the Australian outback.
