Going to the local nursery may just become your next weekend ritual. Why, we hear you say? Because who doesn’t love a lush indoor plant? In fact, they’re actually really good for your health because, science. Indoor plants have been proven to help purify the air in your home, calm the mind and even increase productivity. 

The best bit is you can get every plant you could possibly want at Mermaid Beach’s The Borrowed Nursery. This characterful warehouse potting shed is overflowing with hanging ferns, has a massive array of indoor plants, cute succulents and stylish pots and vessels, and is home to our personal favourite plants—the African Milk Tree and the you-can’t-kill-me Zanzibar Gem. 

Walking in, you’re instantly hit with room #inspo and before you know it, you’re leaving with an armful of adopted leafy housemates, a new-found obsession with decorative pots, and a permanent green thumb.

This versatile space is also available for private hire (hello baby showers, long lunches and even weddings!), comes complete with existing greenery for styling (or they’ll also style your event off site, hence the ‘borrowed’ part) and you simply weren’t there if you don’t walk away with a photo in front of those #instafamous peach doors.
