Red Hill’s Southern-style barbeque and craft beer hall, Red Gum BBQ, has expanded to Seaford with a new concept—Red Gum At Home.
Still honouring their low and slow barbeque approach, Red Gum At Home switches gears to a takeaway-style lunch menu, bringing authentic American bites closer to Melbourne.
The menu will evolve as local produce and new flavours are experimented with. Expect their beloved smoked meats, like beef brisket and free-range pulled pork, packed into on-the-go rolls, along with new editions like the fried buttermilk chicken sandwich.
This new venue doubles as their manufacturing facility—Red Gum’s award-winning sauces and meat rubs are available to purchase, giving fans the key ingredients needed to dial up their own Southern feeds at home.
Owners Melissa and Martin Goffin have been in the game for a while—Florida-born Melissa frequented Southern-style barbeque growing up, while Martin fell in love with the cuisine during travels to Nashville in 2002.
The duo have been smoking in their Red Hill ex-warehouse for over 10 years now,
using three massive Texas-style offset smoker barbecues, and producing American-style sides to match.
