Ed Sheeran Is Bringing His Loop Tour To Christchurch This Month: Here’s Everything You Need To Know
Ed Sheeran returns to NZ in 2026, fresh off the release of his newest album, Play. The Loop Tour is a celebration of his most beloved tracks (both old and new), with support from Vance Joy, Mia Wray, BIIRD, and Aaron Rowe.
After wrapping up the record-breaking Mathematics Tour (which sold more than eight million tickets worldwide) Ed is stepping into a brand new era of live shows, complete with a fresh production, new music and the loop-pedal magic that’s made him one of the most compelling solo performers on the planet.
This one is bound to be huge, so we recommend you strap in and have all your ducks in a row before heading to Apollo Projects Stadium. We’ve pulled together all the most important deets: the when, where, what and how to have you covered for the big day. Start by grabbing your tickets here.

When And Where It’s All Going Down
Ed Sheeran hits Apollo Projects on January 24 and 25 (with 24th already sold out), so if you’ve got your heart set on one of these nights, it’s worth locking it in sooner rather than later.
You can still buy tickets online, with availability changing as the dates approach.
What To Expect From The Setlist
The setlist reads like a ‘Best Of Ed Sheeran’ playlist, and we are very much here for it—mixing new favourites from Play with the songs that turned Ed into a global superstar.
Here’s what you should be bumping in preparation:
- You Need Me, I Don’t Need You
- Sapphire
- Castle On The Hill
- Shivers
- The A Team
- Galway Girl
- Photograph
- Thinking Out Loud
- Camera
- Perfect
- Bloodstream
- Shape Of You
- Azizam
- Bad Habits
Getting To Apollo Projects Stadium
Marvel Stadium sits right on top of Southern Cross Station, which makes it one of the easiest big venues in Melbourne to get to—provided you plan ahead.
- Bus: Check the Metro Christchurch website (metroinfo.co.nz) for routes servicing Addington and the stadium area (like routes near Lincoln Road or Whiteleigh Avenue). Take route 120 or the Orbiter and use the stop on Whiteleigh Ave near Jack Hinton Drive. This will bring you closest to Gate A and approximately a 250m walk.
What are you waiting for? We'll see you there.
