The Verdict
One of our favourite slightly snazzy but reasonably cheap eats in Auckland is Parkside Cafe & Vietnamese Cuisine in Mt Albert. Their dishes are made for sharing and packed with the fresh, lively flavours of Vietnam. Parkside’s green papaya salad with homemade jerky beef will make you one happy diner, as will their Hanoi style grilled pork and fried tofu in spicy tomato sauce. Oh, and they also do Kiwi-style brunch—get amongst.
