Vogels Are Getting Their Granola On

Grainy bread and wholesome toast champion Vogel’s are making waves in the breakfast scene with their brand-new range of granola. With nutrition, taste and sustainability driving their latest creation, it is something we can definitely get behind. The premium granola range, Vogels Finest, comes in a glass jar that can be reused or recycled, while the cereal itself is low in sugar and high in protein. The two flavours, Aloha and Aroha are delicious sprinkled on top of smoothies or oats, or on their own with fresh fruits and milk.

The New Hummingbird Harvest Blend Is 10/10

If there is one thing Kiwis take seriously, it’s their morning cup of joe. There is no time to muck around with anything other than the best and being able to whip up a café standard cup at home is the ultimate convenience. Hummingbird Coffee Roasters are ones to trust when it comes to their coffee and their latest seasonal blend is a bold and fruity twist on their classic brew. With a heavy body and hints of chocolate and sweet berries, Harvest is fair trade organic and specialty grade, and just what you need to get you up and out the door.

Orphans Kitchen X Gemmayze Street

Magic can happen when two great chefs come together and that is what to expect at the Orphans Kitchen and Gemmayze Street collaboration happening Friday 30 August. A special two-course Lebanese inspired breakfast created by Samir Allen and Tom Hishon will be served up at the Ponsonby café for a morning of good food and giving back. With tickets at $45 a head, 10% of the proceeds will go to Everybody Eats—who Gemmayze Street work with on a weekly basis to feed people who wouldn’t usually get the opportunity to dine out. Bookings are essential and can be done directly through Orphans Kitchen.

Same Taste, Half The Carbs

Nothing beats a crisp and refreshing beer at the end of the day and Steinlager is a tried and true brand that the nation trusts with all quenching needs. Their latest creation is just as delicious as usual but this time low-carb, meaning no guilty feelings about having a few. Steinlager Pure Ultra doesn’t compromise on taste, the full-strength, light-hop brew will still hit the spot but with 50% fewer carbs than their other options. Look out for the latest bevvy in-store and waltz into the warmer months with a lighter carb alternative.
