Fire Up The Flavour With BurgerFuel’s New Limited-Edition Burger

Truth bomb: it doesn’t get more competitive than an epic burger competition. Lucky for Kiwi tastebuds, the legends over at BurgerFuel have done just this to seek out their next limited-edition creation.

In 2021, the crew ran their annual ‘Next Top Burger’ challenge, a staff competition calling on stores nationwide to show off their creative culinary chops. As you can imagine, the entries were top-notch, with the Customs Street store taking out first place.

Their creation, the ‘Buffalo Buick,’ is nothing short of seriously drool-worthy. It plays on the brand’s love for their classic ’64 Buick Rivera car, told through the story of a bunch of tasty toppings.

At the heart of it, this is a chicken burger elevated to the next level. BurgerFuel’s classic wholemeal bun is piled high with all the faves; free-range chicken grilled to perfection, with crispy panko-crumbed pickles and fresh, hand-cut salad.

But it doesn’t end there—the detail is in the sauces (yes, plural). The goods are slathered in New York-inspired Culley’s Buffalo Wing Sauce and offset with BurgerFuel’s oh-so-creamy signature Stilton sauce.

The brains behind this must-try burger, Chris and Rachel Edwards, are wrapped to see their spin on the humble patty and bun take centre-stage.

“We are really proud to see our creation come to life and out there for the rest of NZ to try.”

We couldn’t agree more. And on that note, can someone hook us up with a seat on the judging panel next year? Scoping out mouth-watering burgers is our specialty.

As with all limited BurgerFuel drops, the Buffalo Buick is here for a good time, not a long time. Do your foodie heart a favour, and don’t sleep on this one—the Buffalo Buick will be in-store for a limited time, or until sold out.
