The Verdict
Al Volo Pizzeria is authentic Italian pizza at its finest. Run by a Italian family in Mt Eden, this pizza spot is one of Auckland’s best restaurants for everything cheesy, carb-laden and delicious. Traditional pizza lovers can’t go past the ‘Al Volo’ pizza—buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, fresh rocket, olive oil and parmigiano, and the Calzone Ripene with smoked, cured ham, spinach and shaved photo is an absolute treat.
