The Verdict
Michael Dearth’s Baduzzi is Italian food done right. Casual dining, with a whole lot of oomph, this Wynyard Quarter restaurant provides sensational meatballs, pasta, and a bunch of other unforgettable Italian dishes (they also serve lunchtime takeaway sandwiches) to the lovely citizens of Auckland. From the feels-like-home interior, to the gorgeous stained glass window and Mother Mary salt spoons (available for purchase), it’s clear that Baduzzi comes from a love of of family, friends, and mighty fine Italian cuisine.
