The Verdict
Black and Gold is a bright and airy cafe on the North Shore serving up a delicious brekky and brunch menu. You can't go wrong with one of their many egg options using eggs from happy chooks, or, for something a little more substantial, try the grilled halloumi and poached egg with toasted pinenut and fennel salad. They also have options for those who want to have lunch on the fly—we love their sliders with slow-roasted lamb leg, grilled corn salsa and slaw. To satiate your thirst, opt for a smoothie or one of their coffees—Black and Gold serves up some of the best coffee in Auckland.
