The Verdict

Another café has landed in Newmarket and it goes by the name of Champ Canteen. Located at the bottom of Remuera Road, this cool café specialises in toasties, coffee and funky spins on breakfast classics. Think prawn eggs bene on a toasted croissant and French toast with hazelnut cumbed brioche with coffee, custard, caramelised banana, bacon and ice cream. The standouts, however, are the toasties—our pick is the spaghetti and sausage.
