Ponsonby Road icon Conch Kitchen And Bar has announced today that it will be closing for good tonight, March 28, 2024, after 26 years on the strip.
A haven of good music, good vibes and good times, the former record shop, cool kid hangout and bar and kitchen will be sorely missed.
In a brief message posted to their social media today, they have thanked all who have sailed in her over the years. Fare thee well, legends.

Conch is a haven for coffee, vinyl and good times. Serving up South American-inspired food, organic wines and craft beers, it is a popular spot on Ponsonby Road. Originally a market stall in Aotea Square, it has continued to grow far beyond the record store it originally was. The menu is extensive and delicious—we can't get enough of the Conch tacos. Any flavour will do.
