O-Studio Remuera

We’re all for gyms levelling up their recovery game with the introduction of saunas and ice baths but a wellness space that’s completely free from the unrelenting beeps of tabata training just hits different. 

Yes siree, day-to-day living in and of itself is enough to warrant a regular recovery practice, no workout required. And that’s exactly one of the reasons we reckon O-Studio Remuera is quite the panacea of wellness. 

Hidden inside Health Hub Remuera, it’s got all our favourite modes of recovery, refreshed with the cutest of details that’ll keep us coming back. 

Take their float offering—move over float tanks, this one’s your very own cabin for ultimate aquatic bliss. Our favourite part? The cabin ceiling is studded with tiny lights arranged to mimic the constellations of the actual night sky. 

Then there are their saunas, on offer in three different edits: sweet-scented, infrared and traditional. The former sits at a balmy 55-60°C. Choose from eucalyptus, peppermint, lemon, lavender or rosemary essential oils according to whatever you need in the moment. 

Prefer time to yourself? Book into their private contrast therapy and move between an infrared sauna (50-70°C) and ice bath of your own. And if you’re in the mood to really crank the heat, pop into the traditional sauna where the heat hovers between 80 and 90°C and the communal ice bath’s a work of art in its own right. 

More of a massage girlie? That’s here too, along with facial acupuncture and a recovery space where you can dabble in wellness tech like Normatech compression, BrainTap and Neuronic, or just take a conscious pause.
