The verdict
This isn’t simply a place to go grab a coffee or have a bite to eat. Tucked away in Westmoreland Street West in Grey Lynn, Ozone Coffee is an experience.
The set up of the joint begs you to be be actively involved; a giant U-shape bar in the centre of the space houses the kitchen, where chefs and cooks craft incredible meals of edible art, right before your very eyes.
Down either side is ample seating which is perfect for groups, with plenty of space under tables for dogs of all descriptions to chill.
The coffee machine and fully stacked cabinet live at the front of the shop, as do a flurry of floor staff, calmly navigating the madness as this place is always busy.
At the back, huge glass sheets allow you to see right through to the roastery, and if you stop by on a good day, you might get to see them hard at work, roasting amazing beans which will make a short journey over to your cup.
