The Bathhouse Queenstown
If you thought Queenstown was only about adrenaline hits and après-ski cocktails, think again. New Zealand's adventure capital is about to score a seriously luxurious wellness upgrade with The Bathhouse Queenstown.
The Bathhouse Group, the team behind The Bathhouse Albion (aka Brisbane’s dreamy inner-city wellness sanctuary) is opening their first international location and bringing their signature brand of slow-living luxury to the South Island.
Renowned for creating luxury, design-led sanctuaries where guests are encouraged to 'disconnect to reconnect', the group has redefined modern wellness in Australia. Now, that same vision of restorative decadence is heading to New Zealand for the very first time.
What can you expect? We're talking about a suite of five-star amenities, from a 38° heated vitality pool, ambient pool and 12° cold pool to a Finnish sauna with fireplace, a scented steam room to melt your worries away and two infrared saunas.
Designed in collaboration with leading architects Studio Snell, The Bathhouse Queenstown draws inspiration from European bathhouses with a minimalist design and focus on a sensory-led experience. Meditative soundscapes, calming scents, luxe hair and body care from Sans[ceuticals], Dyson styling tools, curated tea lounges, and a blissful phone-free policy are all designed to help you reconnect and relax.
Add in the sweeping alpine backdrop, and you’ve got yourself one of New Zealand's most indulgent new wellness openings of the year. The Bathhouse Queenstown is slated to open December 2025.
We'll have more details here shortly.
