The Verdict
A bar, a restaurant, a venue. The Bluestone Room is one of Auckland’s best hidden gems. Situated in the small stone street of Durham Lane and in one of the oldest commercial buildings in the city, it is a dark and delightful venue that will impress. The gastro pub serves up seriously good burgers, pasta, seafood and salads. Be warned, their serving sizes are generous. If you prefer something lighter, there are plenty of options to hit the spot. For dessert, you can’t go past Aunty Betty’s Banana Split—served the way it was when you were a kid. Join the club, and you’ll be treated to a two-for-one lunch on Friday. The Bluestone Room also has a space upstairs for events.
