The Verdict

Beer lovers unite! Ponsonby has gained a hot new spot serving up Kiwi-made craft beers.

The Brewers Room has nestled into Ponsonby Central, taking over the spot that was once Food Truck Garage, bringing with it 24 taps containing thirst-quenching brews from local breweries Epic, Garage Project, Liberty, Sawmill—the list goes on.

Owner Rolly Doyle is no stranger to the brewing scene with Victoria Street's The Brewer's Co-operative under his belt—a much-loved watering hole amongst Aucklanders. With the success of this establishment, it’s only fair to share the love with the Ponsonby locals.

Whether it’s a good old pint you’re after or you want to sample the goods first—The Brewers Room has a tipple for everyone. With its ever-changing line-up of hops, you could be sampling a new beer each week—in our eyes, that’s more of a reason to pop in.

What goes better with a pint or two? Fish ‘n’ chips, of course. If you’re a fan of seafood then there is plenty here—everything from mussels, oysters, deep fried anchovies, squid, smoked fish cakes and their signature newsprint wrapped fish and chips. For those non-fish lovers, never fear you can still chow down on a selection of other eats—burgers, beef brisket and pork belly bites to name but a few.

There’s even talk about a fish ‘n’ chip and beer delivery service, straight to your door... Though if you can’t wait for this idea to come to life then go check out their new set up in Ponsonby Central—you won’t regret it.
