Sydney Harbour’s New Winter Pop-Up Has Fire Pits, S’mores And Schnapps Flights
Winter has officially landed on the harbour, with Pier One Sydney Harbour launching Après Harbour—a waterfront pop-up that borrows all the best bits of alpine après without requiring a trip to the Snowies.
Running daily from 3pm, the wharf has been decked out with crackling fire pits, faux-fur throws and plenty of winter warmers, making it an easy excuse to swap your usual pub beer garden for harbour views and something considerably toastier.
The hero? A roaming S'mores Fire Cart that rolls from table to table, torching marshmallows to order before sandwiching them between artisan biscuits with your choice of sauces and toppings, equal parts dessert and dinner theatre.
The drinks lean fully into ski-season territory too. In partnership with Wildbrumby Distillery, Pier One is pouring schnapps tasting flights served on custom ski-shaped paddles, alongside cocktails featuring pear schnapps, coffee liqueur and spiced schnapps. Swing by between 5pm and 6pm on weeknights and you'll also score $18 cocktails and $2 oysters during "Schnappy Hour".
If you're staying for dinner (you probably should), the winter menu has all the comfort food boxes ticked. There's an Alpine Sharing Board starring baked Driftwood Vacherin with roast potatoes, beetroot dip and crudités, plus the option to add local salumi and prosciutto. You'll also find baked truffle mac and cheese and braised Wagyu brisket loaded fries for when one layer isn't enough.
Friday and Saturday nights round things out with resident DJs spinning sunset sets, proving you don't need a chalet—or a lift pass—to nail the après ritual this winter.
