With the Aussie government deciding to gift some much-needed funds to the music festival scene’s pockets last year, the Changing Tides music festival is set to be back and as big as ever this November 2025. With huge headliners Sam Fender and Noah Cyrus, along with local Aussie rockstars The Rubens and Skegss, this festival is bringing intense beats, colourful lights and energised action to South Sydney.
This year marks Changing Tides’ third year running, where tickets for both 2023 and 2024 completely sold out–and it’s no wonder, with past headliners including Ruel, Tones and I, Peking Duk, Spacey Jane and The Jungle Giants. Swaying to Noah Cyrus’ hit song July or jumping up and down with Skegss as they play Up In The Clouds sounds thrilling enough, but pair it with Kiama’s coastal views and the scent of a good sea breeze and it becomes unbeatable.
Specific details like set times are still under wraps for this year’s Changing Tides, but what we do already know is that these music icons are coming to the stage of Kiama Showgrounds (a one hour and 50 minute drive from Sydney CBD) and have support from triple j–meaning that we’re guaranteed some national hits and a performance from a fresh triple j Unearthed winner. And any comedy lovers out there will be familiar with The Inspired Unemployed, so grab tickets to watch their musical foray–Retired Gentlemens League–hit the South Coast stage.
With presale and general public tickets going live as soon as Wednesday 10 September, be prepared to head down under for a musical festival to kick off your end-of-year festivities.
