The closest thing to Jurassic Park has come to Sydney with massive immersive experience Dinos Alive at Sydney Olympic Park, with over 80 life-sized, animated dinosaurs and hands-on experiences.
Dinos Alive is an all-ages and kid-friendly exhibition, allowing young and old to get up close and personal with one-to-on replicas of favourite dinosaurs like T-rex, a pack of Velociraptors, and the Stegosaurus.
There’s also a VR experience exploring the depths of the ocean, along with the creatures that called it home during the Jurassic period, plus the Budding Experts interactive space gives kids the opportunity to become palaeontologists, digging up fossils and animating their artworks on a huge screen.
The experience takes between 45 and 75 minutes, roaming through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Tickets are available online now—the best-value way to visit is with a group of eight, with bundle tickets available from $27.90pp.
