Sydney Opening Date And Location

The touring exhibition will debut in Sydney at Paddington Pavilion in Sydney Olympic Park, running from 14 May 2026.

The experience celebrates the extended wizarding world, drawing on moments from the Harry Potter films, the Fantastic Beasts series, and the stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Visitors will move through a series of galleries designed to recreate iconic locations, while learning about the storytelling, production and craftsmanship behind the franchise.

What To Expect Inside Harry Potter: The Exhibition

The exhibition begins with a first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone displayed inside a Gringotts-inspired vault before guests enter the Page to Screen theatre, where cinematic moments and literary quotes reconnect visitors to the story.

Across the experience, fans will encounter interactive displays, original costumes, and authentic props from the films, alongside multimedia installations that bring familiar settings to life.

Highlights include Hogwarts Castle scenes, a dynamic presentation of the Marauder’s Map, and immersive galleries inspired by the wizarding world’s most memorable moments.

Several galleries allow visitors to step directly into scenes inspired by Hogwarts and beyond.

The Great Hall gallery recreates the iconic architecture of the school, while the Hogwarts Houses gallery invites guests to explore Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff beneath a Sorting Hat centrepiece and stained-glass crests designed specifically for the exhibition.

Interactive classroom experiences include brewing potions, planting mandrakes in the Herbology greenhouse and confronting a boggart in Defence Against the Dark Arts. Elsewhere, guests can step inside Hagrid’s Hut and venture into the Forbidden Forest, encountering magical creatures and casting a digital Patronus charm.
