Summer is fast approaching, and it's getting us giddy for a taste of la dolce vita. Lucky for us, the legends behind the beloved Italian Disaronno are celebrating an impressive 500 years of pouring in 2025—and to celebrate, they've partnered up with some iconic Sydney bars.

Just one of those bars is Maybe Sammy, where you'll find three special Disaronno Amaretto cocktails pouring until the end of the year.

All including Disaronno Amaretto, the first, the Flamingo Highball, blends the liqeur with Busker Irish Whiskey, Fino Sherry, fresh apple juice, citrus and bitters—easy and refreshing to sip. Next on the menu is the flavour-packed Almond Lemon Tart, with butter and white miso vodka, lemon sherbet and egg whites. Finally, the Amaretto Irish Coffee heroes Busker's Irish Whiskey alonside filtered coffee, honey muscavado sugar and almond cream—think espresso martini vibes, with well balanced, elevated layers of flavour.

As Maybe Sammy's head bartender, Luca Goffredo knows a thing or two about what makes a good cocktail, and he says these ones find "the perfect mix of elegance and play—classic Italian charm with a contemporary twist".

"We designed our Disaronno cocktails to celebrate both the past and the future," Goffredo explains. "Each drink pays tribute to the 500-year milestone while showing how versatile Disaronno can be in a modern bar."

When asked why his customers love Disaronno so much, Goffredo puts it simply: "Disaronno has soul—that's why it's stood the test of time," he says. "The flavour is instantly recognisable: that warm, almond-like sweetness that feels comforting but still elegant. It's nostalgic, but it never goes out of style."

That timelessness is clear in Disaronno's 500-year legacy, and it's a reminder that true craftsmanship never goes out of style. "At Maybe Sammy, we share the same philosophy: every detail matters, from the glassware to the garnish to how we make people feel," Goffredo says.

Together, Disaronno and Maybe Sammy are honouring the past while toasting the future. We'll drink to that.

To try the cocktails for yourself, head to Maybe Sammy from 4:30pm, Wednesday to Saturday. While you're at it, hit up the other partner venues pouring their own signature Disaronno 500 cocktails: Dean & Nancy, Maybe Frank and El Primo Sanchez. For more information, head here
