Gather Your Crew, PIER BAR Has Opened A Harbourside Pool And Refreshed Menu In Time For Summer

By

Sydney has finally begun the annual defrost into summer, which means the search for the best summer activities is officially on.

You’re in luck, because the hotel's PIER BAR is launching a floating pontoon that will feature a swimmable netted pool on the harbour. Here’s everything new you can expect to find at this waterfront spot for the sun-soaked season.

Meet Sydney’s Newest Pool Bar

Chairs by the water and people

The team at PIER BAR have transformed their private pontoon into the ultimate harbourside destination for swimming, dining, and relaxing during the hotter months.

Opening the first weekend in November, this summer oasis in the city is kitted out with all the essentials—vibrant sun lounges, kitschy umbrellas, pool toys and uninterrupted views. Plus, with free entry, you can enjoy wallet-friendly harbourside dips, beach club vibes without the sand and stunning views overlooking Walsh Bay.

Our tip? Slot a group booking into the cal and get your friends together for a pool day spent lounging harbourside in the sun.

Dig Into Bites Between Dips

You can trust PIER BAR to pull off a killer summer cocktail menu to sip between dips. Aside from the classics, you’ll find a cocktail collab with Who Is Elijah perfumes. How good.

You can't go past their extensive cocktail list, including all the favourites—Margs or Aperol Spritz, anyone? Plus, their Pier Iced Vovo is a must-order for sweet tooths. Think strawberry purée, lemon and coconut—yum.

When you're ready for a feed, the fresh and seasonal menu is made for sharing with the crew. We’re talking summer seafood classics like prawn buckets, zesty fish tacos and salads packed with mango and lime. Be sure to save space for dessert though, because the house-made Tim-Tam ice cream sundae might just be our new favourite dessert.

Enjoy The Day With Your Four-Legged Friend

Worried about leaving your fur baby at home? PIER BAR is happy to host your pooch as well, with an entire page of their menu dedicated to Plates For Pups

The Bark Bark Breeze combines banana, coconut water and peanut butter for the ultimate dog-friendly mocktail. There’s also doglato made from all-natural ingredients, and three different main course options—including steak if you feel like treating your pup.

Pool by PIER BAR is free to enter all summer long with group bookings required to avoid missing out. Kicking off the first weekend of November, for details and upcoming summer events head here
