Sydney’s Ultimate Summer Pool Party Just Dropped Right On The Harbour
Sydney’s answer to the Euro summer beach club has officially arrived, with a waterfront pool setting the tone in Walsh Bay.
POOL by Pier One Sydney Harbour has majorly upgraded its floating pontoon, transforming the harbourfront into a Riviera-style beach club for the 2026 summer season.
Complete with free entry, a swimmable netted pool, revamped timber decking, sun-soaked loungers, a refreshed poolside menu, and a new soft serve and matcha kiosk, it’s a go-to hangout spot in Sydney.
Here’s everything new you can expect to find at this sleek harbourside destination.
Meet Sydney’s All-New Pool Bar
The team at Pier One have transformed their private pontoon into the ultimate free Euro summer beach club in Sydney—minus the rocky sand and long-haul flight—perfect for social afternoons, shared plates, drinks on repeat and a swimmable netted area that keeps things cool when the suns out.
Anchored right in Walsh Bay, the waterfront spot has had a full deck and pool refresh for your next sunbath sesh or dip with the crew. Kitted out with all the essentials by the legends at Business & Pleasure: sleek new sun loungers, chic umbrellas, new pool toys and uninterrupted views across Walsh Bay await.
The result? A photo-ready oasis for summer dips and sips—open free seven days a week, from 11am to 4pm, with no time limits so you can make the most of every swim.
Slot a group booking for parties more than eight people into the cal and round up your mates for a pool day spent lounging harbourside in the sun. Then once the pontoon session is over, enjoy live DJs at PIER BAR every Friday to Sunday arvo.
Settle In With Sips Between Dips
Between harbour dips, Pier One Sydney Harbour and Business & Pleasure keeps the energy high with an unlimited summer drinks and food menu that hits just as hard as the view.
You can’t go wrong with signature serves like a margarita or Aperol spritz. Or try the Business & Pleasure summer specials: Lillet Rosé with strawberry, yuzu, elderflower, prosecco and grapefruit soda, served as ‘The Business’, a solo spritz, or ‘The Pleasure’, a shareable carafe.
When it comes to food, PIER BAR serves a fresh, seasonal menu you can order straight from the pool with their QR code—ideal for grazing with the crew.
Savour summer seafood classics—fresh tiger prawns, salt-and-pepper squid—alongside elevated bites like bruschetta, summer bowls from cured rainbow trout to tanzanella, and Muffuletta sandwiches.
From oysters to sides and desserts, the full menu can be enjoyed poolside—everything you need for a Euro summer club experience without leaving the city.
Everyday Creamery And Matcha
New to POOL’s pontoon this summer, the Everyday Creamery Kiosk is slinging soft serve and matcha in collaboration with Tokyo Lamington.
Expect playful, summer-ready soft serve and frozen treats made for hot days by the harbour. There are all the classics—mango, swirl and choc tops—alongside straight-up vanilla soft serve for peak heatwave cravings.
Matcha lovers are covered too, with strawberry matcha, matcha tonic and hojicha matcha lattes on offer, plus refreshing sodas to keep things cool when the sun’s out.
The Everyday Creamery Kiosk is open Thursday through Sunday between 12pm and 8pm—perfectly timed for afternoon tipples that roll right into sunset treats.
