Help Clean Up Our Oceans By Participating In This Sustainable Running Event

By Sophie Hart
3rd Jun 2022

adidas is inviting runners of all levels to crush the kilometres to help end plastic waste in our oceans.

Going down on the first weekend on June, runners of all fitness levels will put foot to pavement for the Run For The Oceans and for every 10 minutes of running, adidas will clean up the equivalent of one plastic bottle from our beaches and islands.

The run will be guided by adidas ambassadors around the running route before being treated to relaxed tunes, a complimentary coffee, and healthy treats.

And because no fun run is complete without fresh merch, you’ll also receive a free adidas Run For the Oceans t-shirt.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or you’re just starting out, this sustainable running event is all about bringing like-minded people together to crush some kilometres and save our oceans.

To help make a difference, register for the running event via the adidas app but be quick, spots are limited to 200.

Can’t make it to the event? You can still chase that post-run endorphin rush while doing good for the planet by downloading the adidas app to track your runs. The same rules apply, for every 10 minutes you track, adidas will clean up a piece of plastic.
