This July, rug up and head out to the Stockland Wetherill Park Shopping Centre for food, drinks, music, workshops, and more festival vibes. The Winter Playground will be embracing the chilly side of things from the 30th of June to the 17th of July, rolling out their best local eats, drinks, and most importantly, discounts.

Mulled Wine & Watercolour Workshop
What better way to defrost the mind, body, and soul than by letting your creativity flow with a toasty bevvy in hand? Learn how to paint picturesque winter landscapes as you sip mulled wine at a Watercolour Workshop on July 14th. Not only will you be able to create a masterpiece under the influence of winter’s most iconic drink, but you’ll also be welcomed with a free glass of bubbly on arrival to take the edge off the winter chill. Yep, you read that right. Wetherill’s iconic Italian restaurant Criniti’s and snack extraordinaire Hoyts will be handing out tasty morsels throughout the fest. Head over at lunchtime on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to sample their crowd-pleasing, traditional Italian flavours. If you’re keen to reconnect with your inner child, show up on select Saturdays for free blue fairy floss samples. What could warm you up more than free comfort food and spun sugar?

In honour of this frosty fest, certain restaurants and the shopping centre itself will offer tempting discounts throughout. Warm up with a bargain weekday lunch at Criniti’s, featuring Italian favourites such as hearty pasta dishes and unbelievable wood-fired pizza. Live Music & DJs
Live performers and local musicians will be gracing the Winter Playground festival every weekend. On the 14th of July, Karmelan Joudo will be hitting the stage with her Assyrian band for one night only. If you’re into soulful R’n’B fusion, catch live tunes with Aaron each weekend. You’ll also find a line-up of live DJs, belly dancers, drummers, and plenty of kids’ entertainment - from henna to balloon twisting - every single weekend.
