There are a few things that really scream summer in Sydney—like beach days, beer gardens, backyard barbecues, fish and chips, and rooftop bars. Another summery pastime we're really hanging out for after all these months in lockdown is outdoor cinemas.
If you're also a fan of watching movies under the stars, we've got some good news for you. Sunset Cinema's drive-in cinema will officially be one of the first in-person events to go ahead in NSW, kicking off its summer season at the end of this month.
Hosted at the St Ives Showground, the drive-in will be open to fully vaccinated moviegoers (and their cars) from Thursday 28 October.
Timed perfectly with Halloween, the opening weekend will be packed with spooky flicks, while the remaining six-week program has been filled with all the epic new films we've been waiting to see at the movies in 2021, as well as some classics and golden oldies like Grease and Dirty Dancing.
As with all the Sunset Cinemas, you'll be able to pair your movie with a line-up of food trucks, drinks, sweet treats, and Sunset's famous freshly popped popcorn.
Tickets will go on sale soon—sign up here for updates.
