Let 3 Of Australia’s Top Chefs Treat Your Tastebuds At This Vivid Sydney Harbour Dining Experience

By Alexandra Ainsworth

1st May 2023

For the ultimate food and spectacle experience during this year’s Vivid Sydney festival, be sure to snag tickets to Chefs on the Harbour aboard luxury superyacht, The Jackson. The event will see some of Australia's best chefs curating the most exciting in fine dining menus, all while you cruise through a luminescent Sydney Harbour. Because, if there’s anything that Succession has taught us, it’s that food tastes all the better when cooked by a top celebrity chef and served on a luxury superyacht.

The Jackson, one of Sydney’s biggest and most luxurious vessels, will play host to an unmissable dining experience each Saturday during Vivid Sydney. From 27 May, the red carpet will be rolled out for you, literally, to experience the very best food and wine that Sydney has to offer.

Once on board, some of the country's most celebrated chefs, winemakers and sommeliers will treat you to an opulent celebration of Australian cuisine. Each evening the experience will be curated by a different chef, with the owner of the award-winning restaurant Nel and one of the country’s top chef personalities, Nelly Robinson, kicking things off.

Bespoke fine dining dishes to be serves aboard the Jackson

A Night With Nel will guarantee you a dining experience like no other. Not only will you be feasting on some of Australia's finest over a decadent five-course feast, but you can also expect Robinson’s menu to be innovative, playful and fun. Fan favourites Khanh Ong and Mark Olive will be taking over from Robinson to craft their own menus throughout June.

Your experience will also include access to an all-inclusive beverage package which starts with a cocktail on arrival. The bar will feature premium drops from Tyrell’s wines, Belvedere, and Young Henry’s, plus plenty of non-alcoholic options as well. The Jackson will be cruising through Sydney Harbour for 3.5 hours, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy all aspects of the experience, all while taking in the bright lights of Vivid on the shoreline.

The team behind Chefs on the Harbour is also working with Creative Director Fernando Barraza from Cirkus Bizurkus to ensure the experience is as spectacular as the festival activations back on shore. You can be certain that no extravagance has been spared when it comes to lighting and installations, with neon-lit entertainment, live musicians, and roaming entertainers aplenty to create a feast for all senses.
