Asia's top women footballers are taking over Sydney for a month-long showdown. The AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026™ kicks off from Sunday, 1 to Saturday, 21 March, marking the adrenaline-fuelled final Asia-Pacific qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Totalling 11 matches here in Sydney, major stars like the Matildas' Caitlin Foord, India's Sangita Basfore and Korea Republic's Ji So-yun are lighting up the pitch at Parramatta’s Western Sydney Stadium and Stadium Australia in Sydney Olympic Park.

How To Get To The AFC Women's Asian Cup
Western Sydney Stadium
Western Sydney Stadium (aka CommBank Stadium) is easy peasy to reach, with multiple public transport options.
Parramatta Station is the closest train station, and there are plenty of bus services that run to and from the Parramatta Interchange; both are around a 15-minute walk to the stadium.
The Parramatta Light Rail also runs regularly, operating seven days a week from 5am to 1am. The closest stop to the stadium is Prince Alfred Square, just five minutes walk to the stadium.
Public transport is recommended as there’s no public parking on-site; only a few carparks nearby.

As for Stadium Australia (aka Accor Stadium), Sydney Olympic Park is well-connected to the Sydney CBD and Parramatta with plenty of convenient transport options and parking on-site; pre-booking online is recommended.
The closest train station is Olympic Park, a short five-minute walk to the stadium, and there are several bus services, including routes 525, 526 and 533 via Sydney Olympic Park.
