The verdict
It’s no surprise the people are flocking to 117 Dining by the bunch. With the origin of food being at the helm of everything these legends do (including where it’s from, how it’s grown and how it’s cooked), all we can say is you’re guaranteed some really, really, reallyyyyy quality feeds.
Focusing on high quality, local produce and Asian fusion, 117 Dining is a hub of innovation. Handily located at the Intercontinental in Circular Quay, this Sydney fine dining restaurant is dishing up an experience that's refined yet fun.
The Cone Bay Barramundi roasted in Pepe Saya Butter is a must. With pomelo, palm heart, fennel kimchi, tatsoi, and cracked wheat, your taste buds will come out singing. For dessert, let loose and try the Don't Worry, a creation of 70% dark chocolate, caramel and raw macadamia ice cream, caramelised stick, vanilla ganache, and milk foam.
With head chef Luke Fernley leading the kitchen, all the goods here flaunt insane textures and a menu that revolves around seasonal produce. Flavours here are drawn from Japan, Europe and perhaps the best city in the world (we’re talking Sydney people), so it’ll come as no shock that these guys have won a heap of awards ie. you should all be planning your next meal here, stat.
