The verdict

Sitting pretty in one of the best spots at Barangaroo, you’ll find the super slick 12-Micron. Boasting views over Sydney harbour, this 230-seater restaurant, late-night dessert kitchen, and luxe bar is unlike any other.

With a philosophy based on celebrating Australian produce—you know it’s got to be good. Executive Chef Justin Wise (from the likes of The Press Club and Point Albert Park) dishes up a sophisticated menu divided into four parts: earth (think paperbark baked vegetables and eggplant parma); ocean (aka oysters and Skull Island king prawn steamed buns); land (allll of the succulent meats); and air (we’re talking quail and and duck). Served with a side of only the best cheeses, you will not be disappointed no matter you choice.

If you’re just there for cocktails, we strongly recommend you make your way through the whole list, starting with the Smoking Chaplin (Plymouth Sloe Gin, Védrenne apricot brandy, lime and rosella jam) and ending on the Riberry Limy Tia (Rebellion Bay spiced rum, Védrenne spicy chili cinnamon, orgeat, lime, riberry confit). We also suggest you stop by on Monday to Thursday (from 5pm til 7pm) for Sunset Social where you can sip on Salted Espresso Martinis and Negronis for only $15 a pop. For those who prefer a drop of vino, you should probs start studying the 400 strong wine list right about now.

Whatever you do make sure you save room for dessert. The oh-so sweet dessert bar stays open till late every night of the week. Don’t go home without trying the oh-so famous gin and tonic and explosive raspberry (yes, we mean order both), and if you’re really looking to treat yourself, get amongst a three, five or seven-course decadent dessert degustation, worth every calorie. Trust us.
