The Verdict
Manly’s favourite brewery 4 Pines has opened an all-day eatery, dishing up breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a side of beer, which means beer for breakfast is now totally a thing.
Located directly under the BrewPub, the restaurant has 12 house beer on tap as well as an ‘un-beer’ menu with wines, spirits and your breakfast regulars (aka coffee and juice).
With a rustic log cabin vibe and fresh, modern menu, it’s the perfect for a long lunch, recovery breakfast or relaxed Sunday dinner.
Breakfast ranges from the classic scrambled eggs and bacon to a Cubano jaffle (think 18 month cured Serrano ham and Mahon cheese combined with Moorish chutney), all served on house made bread with the added flavour of 4 Pines Stout.
Lunch and dinner is designed to be shared (so you can make your way through the whole menu) and highlights include fresh octopus served on a bed of potato and chorizo (yes, chorizo), beef ragout pot pie and 24 hour cured trout gravlax. If you want to go all out order the huge pot of mussels or the 1⁄2 kg of smoked beef brisket. Oh, and wear your stretchy pants.
