Packed with bars, restaurants and things to see, Surry Hills is an ideal spot to base yourself, and the bold new ADGE Hotel + Residences joins the handful of eclectic Sydney boutique hotels in the area.

The refurbed 93-room hotel has undergone a $65 million transformation, and is awash with bold colours, eclectic furnishings and plenty of personality, with a colourful large-scale mural by Adrian Hing and abstract neon sculpture by Anna Varendorff greeting guests and setting the tone for a vibrant, art-filled experience.

Rooms (including queen, twin and king rooms, two-bedroom apartments with wrap-around balconies and fully equipped kitchens, and a split-level, two-bedroom loft residence) feature bold carpets, pod-style bathrooms, retro SMEG fridges and Nespresso machines.

One of Sydney’s favourite cafes, Soul Deli, has relocated to the hotel’s lobby, serving its Korean-influenced menu of hearty breakfast and lunch dishes like Korean fried chicken-topped buttermilk hotcakes and galbi rice bowls.

Come evening, ADGE Hotel + Residences is also home to Raita Noda Chef's Kitchen, where eight guests at a time can dine on an intimate ten-course omakase experience, with the menu changing nightly depending on what Noda selects from the season’s best.

Eventually, the adjacent former Cambridge Hotel will also join ADGE Hotel + Residences to offer a total of 242 rooms, with an in-house Italian restaurant led by a well-known Italian chef also on the cards.

ADGE Hotel + Residences is a Sydney boutique hotel ideal for a vibrant stay-cation in the heart of Surry Hills, or a longer stay with friends or family in one of the city’s busiest and best-connected suburbs.

ADGE Hotel + Residences will open in August 2023.
